Chapter Seven

Tyri

I wiggled in Arsun’s grip, but he wasn’t about to let go. “Please, Arsun let me go. He’s going to be so mad, please,” I begged quietly, so that Owen wouldn’t hear me.

“I’m not letting you go and don’t struggle, Tyri,” he growled at me.

In an effort to take this situation down about twenty notches I tried to be all, hey what’s up with Owen. “Oh, hi Owen, thought you might be out here. We just saw Cody inside,” I said, smiling my ass off at him.

“Don’t do, that, Tyri. Don’t you dare do that to me,” Owen fired at me.

“Is this really necessary?” he asked, as he gestured to the tight hold Arsun had on me. “What’s wrong guy, afraid if you let her go she might run away from you?”

“Owen, quit, it’s not like that. I get dizzy really easily. He’s just holding me up, so I don’t fall and hurt myself again. I have a concussion, remember?”

“I’ve had a couple of those myself from playing football, remember? No one had to hold me up for days on end,” he quipped. “And what if someone did have to, a hot nurse, perhaps, how would that have gone over for you Tyri?”

“Owen, I wish you would come to the house so we could talk,” as I said that, Arsun tightened his already tight grip on me, making breathing a bit difficult.

“Yeah, Tyri about that. I have gone to your house every day, but good old dad won’t let me in. Meanwhile, I couldn’t help but notice that this damn car is always there day and night.” Owen practically yelled.

“Been stalking, huh?” Arsun added.

Oh, God, please don’t talk Arsun, please!

“Look, Owen, I don’t want to get into this out here for everyone to listen in on. So I will ask Dad to let you come over. I’ll give you a call later and tell you when, Okay?” I asked, looking pleadingly at him.

He reached out to touch me, but Arsun took a step back, pulling me with him. Owen’s face paled and I thought he might be fixing to cry; my heart went crazy.

“Let me go Arsun,” I demanded harshly.

As if stunned by the fierceness in my tone, he eased his grip and I moved away from him, going toward Owen. Owen rushed to catch me up in his arms, crushing me against him.

“Oh, Tyri, my Tyri, what’s happened?” He whispered in my ear, as he nuzzled my neck. I felt him shaking. “Tyri, you’re scaring me. Is it over, is what we had over?”

My mind whirled, I had no answer for him. “Owen, please.”

He pulled his head back. “Kiss me, please.”

Oh, no, I can’t do that right now, not with Arsun standing right there!

I tried to pull away from him, but he refused to let me go. “Please Tyri, one kiss; I know everything will be alright. Just one kiss,” he begged.

“I can’t right now,” I muttered.

He pushed me back away from him quickly, and I stumbled. Arsun caught me quickly, resuming his hold on me.
